This is our first attempt at using a blog for groups to communicate about trip planning and organization. I think that this could be a useful tool for us. I hope that y'all find it useful and fun. You will be able to update the group on your travel plans add photos and get logistical information about your trip.
The Rieke Salmon River trip is scheduled to launch on July 21, 2008 from Pine Bar, Idaho. The WWRE van will depart Joseph, Oregon at 6am on the 21st. We will drive through Lewiston and pick up anyone who is staying there for the night and then arrive to the launch site by about 10am. We will then meet the crew and start floating.
After 4 days on the river we will take out near Lewiston, ID and have about a 2 hour ride in the van back to Joseph. I will figure out lodging for everyone as you let me know about your travel plans. The Rodeo weekend is a busy one so the sooner the better on this. There are rodeo events every night Thursday through Saturday. We will try to go to the rodeo at least 1 night.
